What does ATHE Level 7 mean?
ATHE Level 7 refers to an advanced qualification level within the UK qualifications framework. It is commonly understood as an advanced level of professional study. However, an ATHE Level 7 qualification is not itself a university master’s degree unless a separate degree is awarded by a university.
What qualifications does PTA-ATHE® offer?
PTA-ATHE® currently offers five core qualifications: Private Wealth Management, Taxation Management for Private Wealth, Finance and Taxation Management, Human Resource Management, and the Extended Diploma for Payments and Tax Agents.
Are PTA-ATHE® qualifications equivalent to a master’s degree?
No. ATHE Level 7 qualifications are advanced professional qualifications. They are not university master’s degrees. A master’s degree can only be awarded separately by a university according to its academic requirements.
What is the difference between Certificate, Diploma, and Extended Diploma?
A Certificate is usually focused on a specific professional area. A Diploma covers a broader scope. The Extended Diploma is the most comprehensive route within the PTA-ATHE® framework.
Which qualification is suitable for private wealth?
Learners interested in high-net-worth client services, family wealth, governance, and succession may consider Private Wealth Management. Learners focused on wealth-related taxation, cross-border wealth arrangements, and tax risk may consider Taxation Management for Private Wealth.
What is the Hertfordshire MBA Pathway?
The Hertfordshire MBA Pathway is designed for eligible learners who have completed the relevant ATHE Level 7 qualification and wish to progress to the University of Hertfordshire MBA Top-up stage.
Are these qualifications professional licences?
No. PTA-ATHE® qualifications are educational and professional development qualifications. They do not by themselves authorise learners to provide regulated tax, legal, investment, insurance, employment law, or financial advice.
Can institutions enrol learners as a group?
Yes. PTA-ATHE® can support institutional learning and cooperation for banks, financial institutions, wealth management firms, insurance companies, trust companies, family offices, tax firms, HR service providers, and professional advisory organisations.
