PTA-ATHE® Certificate in Private Wealth Tax Management Offline Course Now Launched
Against the backdrop of deep alignment between global tax compliance and the needs of high-net-worth individuals, the first session of the PTA-ATHE® Certificate in Private Wealth Tax Management (ATHE Level 7 Certificate in Taxation Management for Private Wealth) officially commenced on 17 January 2026. The programme welcomed outstanding professionals from the Personal Financial Department of Bank of China Shanghai Branch, ushering in a new chapter of professional upgrading together.
This programme is designed to build a top-tier professional competitive edge for practitioners in private banking and wealth management. It focuses intensively on taxation management theories and practices across the three core stages of private wealth: creation, preservation, and succession. The curriculum not only provides a comprehensive analysis of domestic tax policies and compliance priorities in China, but also extends to international tax regimes of major countries and regions worldwide, enabling participants to establish a complete knowledge framework from local to global perspectives.
Learners will undergo all-round training through a blended learning model: online foundational learning plus offline applied practice. After more than one month of online courses to master the theoretical knowledge of private wealth tax management, the subsequent offline intensive sessions will centre on real-case studies to tackle key industry challenges, including cross-border asset allocation, tax planning for family trusts, key points of CRS reporting, and the determination of multiple tax residency statuses.
The Private Wealth Tax Management Certificate programme helps professionals serving high-net-worth clients in banks, insurance companies, securities firms and other financial institutions develop core professional competencies that form a lasting competitive advantage.
As the accrediting body for the PTA-ATHE® International Tax & Payroll Practitioner certification system, ATHE (Awards for Training and Higher Education, UK) — a professional education qualification body approved by Ofqual — will leverage its global educational resources and influence to enhance practitioners’ professional expertise and strengthen their foundational compliance awareness.
